2014 PRESENT ART FESTIVAL VI Meeting in Shanghai On the 25th of July, 2014 the renowned Shanghai Pudong National Library will host again the il PRESENT ART FESTIVAL – VI Meeting in Shanghai , the international exhibition dedicated to Art and its multiple languages. This sixth year is marked by a select group of artist from all over the world. Much more than an artistic event, the Present Art Festival doesn't only involve only the art world, it offers the chance to companies and corporations to approach the Chinese market. Favoring a philosophy of open communication and mutual cultural exchanges, Present Art festival aims to promote the art, the culture and the very best of every single country, laying the fundations for a productive dialogue between East and West. Through art exhibitions, events, forums and conferences, Present Art Festival is an occasion for being updated about the contemporary art situation and an important occasion to meet Chinese audience and the opportunities modern China could offer. The 2014 Present Art Festival is a project by Present Contemporary Art, sponsored by The Chinese Ministry of Culture, the Italian Culture Institute in Shanghai, The City of Florence and The City of Shanghai. The 2014 guest of honor will be Mr Wei Li, Artistic director of the BeiJing & Shanghai International Comic Opera Festival, who arranged the chamber concert in occasion of the Chinese President visit in France. The Present Art Festival sixth edition will host a section completely dedicated to the Florence-Shanghai Prize where will be exhibited the artworks which won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place of the four categories of the prize: painting, sculpture/installation, photography and video-art. In addition, this year the Present Art Festival will be in collaboration with the HangZhou Design Week and will present projects of interior design; it will also be in partnership with Ugo Guidi Museum of Forte dei Marmi (Lucca), and with the Association Artsnet of Florence.

The jury who selected the winners of the Florence-Shanghai Prize, is composed of a select group of experts from China and Europe, from the arts and culture sector.
